Cosmetic Acupuncturist Joins the Zi Zai Team

Zi Zai Dermatology enthusiastically welcomes our newest clinic team member:  Terry Fox.  Terry is a licensed acupuncturist and his specialty is cosmetic facial acupuncture.  It is Terry’s intention to be THE preeminent practitioner in northern Colorado for facial acupuncture treatments.  And we are thrilled he will be seeing clients exclusively at Zi Zai Dermatology’s Fort Collins clinic.  Allow us to introduce him to you and to highlight some of his professional accomplishments.

Terry grew up in a small town in Wyoming.  When he was 17, Terry’s mother was diagnosed with the chronic and painful autoimmune disease fibromyalgia. Inspired to relieve her pain, Terry enrolled in the Utah College of Massage Therapy. Upon graduation, he worked to create the first hospital-based massage therapy program in the state of Wyoming. A desire to increase his treatment offerings led Terry into the field of acupuncture. Within three years, he earned his Master’s Degree from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver, Colorado. In 2006, he founded his own private practice, Artesian Spring Oriental Medicine in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Like all the best acupuncturists, Terry furthers his Chinese Medicine studies and attends continuing education courses.  In 2010 he completed a 150-hour certification in Wu Dang External Qi Healing with  Master Yun Xiang Tseng –  a 14th generation Wu Dang Zhang Sanfeng lineage holder and a 25th generation Long Men Taoist Priest. Terry has trained with some of the most well-known international experts in facial and cosmetic acupuncture: Denise Ellinger, Martha Lucas, Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, and Dr. Ping Zhang.  You are going to be in good hands here when you come in for a series of facial treatments from him!

In the clinic, Terry will help you cultivate radiance through cosmetic acupuncture, facial gua sha, Chinese herbal medicine and other natural healing modalities. He believes each patient is precious and he can reconnect you with your own innate healing capacity. With the understanding that beauty is more than skin deep, his constitutional treatments allow your authentic self to shine forth, ultimately allowing you to be seen deeper.

Outside of the office, you can find Terry relaxing with his wife and two boys. He avidly reads sci-fi and fantasy novels, especially books by Brandon Sanderson. He likes to craft his own beer and mead. And, occasionally, he competes in local beard and mustache competitions.  His zest for life is always evident and he even hosts a podcast dedicated to holistic beauty, natural health and passionate living called The Get Foxy Show.
